Field work: This Project consists of 12 exploratory boreholes to the maximum depth of 3 meters below the natural ground level with 10 to 30 meters depth. The boreholes were drilled by wash boring method and throughout the operation core and disturbed samples were obtained. SPT, Down hole and also Electrical resistivity tests have done.

Laboratory Services: determination of physical and mechanical properties of the soil layers, classification and shear strength tests, Water content, unit weight, Atterberg limits, particle size distribution, particle density, Strength testing, Un-confined compression test (UCT) and unconsolidated undrained (UU) triaxial, Chlorine Content (Soil and Water), Sulphates Content (Soil and Water), , PH (Smoil and Water) and etc.

Outcome: Final report includes Determination of the type and thickness of soil layers, physical and mechanical properties, Study the liquefaction, swell or collapse potential of soil layers. Determination of dynamic properties, allowable soil pressure and estimation of settlement of shallow foundations, modulus of sub grade reaction, lateral soil pressure and soil-concrete friction coefficient, allowable slope of excavations, type of cement to be used in concreting foundations, soil permeability, earthquake coefficients according to 2800 code and technical suggestions and recommendations with respect to construction operations.

Project of Naft-sangin Gheshm Refinery (Gheshm Crude Oil  Refinery) is located at Northern territory of Qeshm Island with total area of almost 30 hectare. In this project, several facilities such as tank farm, structure of process plant, Non-industrial buildings and port such as deck and berth for Ingredients intake and petroleum products have been considered. Geotechnical investigation consists of several drilling boreholes totaling 160m offshore and 460m near-shore. Testing of samples to define the subsurface soil conditions and in-situ testing such as SPT, Piezometer, CBR test, plate load test, electrical test, and Down-hole seismic test were performed. The commercial complex consists of a 28-stories building with 8 stories located underground. The field work consists of one 60m Geotechnical borehole drilled under the high rise part. Allowable static bearing capacity and settlement of different types of shallow and deep foundation in addition to exploration program prepared by Mandro (2004) for engineering purposes. In order to check the bearing capacity of foundation for lowerrity underground water and stabilizing the walls of excavation, further investigation will be prepared.

Mandro is performing Geotechnical and seismic studies for Yadavaran Oil Field which is one of the world's largest oil field located South-West Iran.
